Your BSA Profile

Your First Visit to MyScouting.org

The first time you visit myscouting.org you will need to create an account. You will only need your mailing address and a working email address. A BSA Scout ID number is not required to create an account.



Step 1. Go to myscouting.org

Step 2. Click the button that says "Create an account"

Step 3. Pick a username (this is something you can easily remember like your email name).

Step 4. Check the User Name Availability.

Step 5. If available then select the "next" button.

Step 6. If you know what your BSA ID is select that option and enter it. Since this is your first time, select the "I am new..." option and then the Next button.

Step 7. Complete the requested demographic information (name, address, phone, email address, etc.)

Note: this information is very important as it is used by the BSA to mail your certificates when training is completed. The email address is used to send you the temporary login password.

Step 8. Select the "Create User" button

Step 9. Check your email for your temporary password.

Step 10. Login to myscouting.org


Link your MyScouting.org account to the Denver Area Council

To make reporting of your online training easier (e.g. Youth Protection Training) it is best to link your BSA ID to your MyScouting.org account. You will need your BSA ID to complete this step.

Step 2. Select the "Update My Profile" link

Step 3. Scroll down to the Membership Info section of the web page.

Step 4. Select "Denver Area Council" in the Council Name drop down.

Step 5. Enter your BSA ID into the Member ID field.

Step 6. Select the "Add" button
